Help with Kun desktop and mobile connections, attachments, voice input and accounts.

Get started

Start with the official installation and setup documentation. Mobile remote access needs a computer running Kun; the phone does not replace its model configuration or task runtime.

Kun accounts

Connect your phone and computer

Sign in to the same Kun account on your phone and computer. In the desktop Remote panel, explicitly start Kun iOS access, then select the computer and request access from the phone. The first connection needs desktop approval. Mobile remote access starts off each time Kun opens; signing in alone does not enable it.

Keep Kun running on the computer. Closing its main window exits the app; minimizing keeps it running. The phone releases its connection in the background while tasks already running on the computer continue and new approvals still wait for a person. The LAN browser entry and Kun iOS relay are separate connection methods with different password and network requirements.

Connection methods and desktop documentation

Disconnections, offline drafts and unresolved requests

After returning to the foreground, wait for identity, device authorization and history synchronization to recover. Cached information can be older than the computer state; check offline indicators and the last synchronization time. New input stays in a draft while the computer is offline and must be sent manually after reconnection.

If a result is unknown or needs reconciliation, check the original request and computer execution state instead of creating a new input that repeats the action. A stop request has not succeeded until the computer confirms it. An offline phone cannot guarantee that an already-started task stops.

Attachments and files

Mobile transfers allow up to 25 MiB per attachment, with temporary access expiring after one hour. Files pass through private R2 storage. Receipt confirmation or cancellation requests cleanup but does not guarantee immediate physical deletion.

If verification fails, access expires or the computer goes offline, preserve the current state and follow the interface to reconcile or fetch the file again. Temporary links are not permanent file addresses; long-term attachments stay on the computer.

iPhone voice input

On the physical phone, choose Voice input and then Start recording, granting microphone and speech-recognition permissions when needed. Unavailable on-device recognition does not silently switch online. Apple speech services are permitted for a recording only when you explicitly enable Allow Apple online recognition.

The transcript is editable and Add to draft does not send it. Entering the background ends recording and attempts to append recognized text to the local draft. Check the text after returning and reopen the conversation to confirm it was saved. If permission was denied, check Microphone and Speech Recognition under iOS Privacy & Security, or keep using the keyboard.

Apple iPhone Mirroring does not support the microphone or camera. To verify voice input, exit mirroring and record on the unlocked physical iPhone; the Mac mirroring window cannot verify microphone capture.

Sign-out, revocation and account deletion

Signing out and removing a local account clears its phone credentials and cache. It does not delete the server-side account or automatically remove computer history. Revoking computer access and withdrawing AI data-transfer consent are also separate controls.

The new in-app self-service account-deletion feature has been deployed on the server but remains disabled pending verification with disposable test accounts. To request access, correction or deletion of account information, contact the email below. Do not include passwords, tokens or verification codes.

The new deletion flow does not remotely erase computer history, already-published messages or other people's local copies. Deleting a guest revokes its membership; deleting an owner closes its shared tasks without deleting another person's task. Minimal security audits and deletion fences without conversation bodies may remain. Other accounts' accepted sharing-management receipts may retain opaque account or member identifiers for the existing seven-day reconciliation period.

Sign in with Apple: authorization after deletion

This describes the new deletion flow that is deployed but not yet enabled. Apple status has four states: not applicable, revoked, pending and manual action required. Kun account deleted does not mean Apple revocation or temporary-file cleanup is complete.

Temporary revocation failures are retried during a fixed 24-hour window from successful email-code verification and durable acceptance of deletion. Retries or late sign-ins do not restart that clock. Account and personal-information deletion continues. Missing or undecryptable credentials, or the end of the window, result in manual action required rather than a false revoked status. After the window, encrypted tokens are no longer read for retries and maintenance removes them; physical deletion is not guaranteed at the exact deadline.

After the account, temporary files and Apple handling have all reached a terminal state, the server retains the status proof for a further 24 hours. A signed-out phone can use its saved status record to reconcile; do not submit deletion again. Being offline or unable to check status does not prove revocation succeeded. The phone retains an unread manual-action notice until you explicitly acknowledge reading it.

For manual action, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, choose Sign in with Apple and select the app or developer for Kun. Follow Apple's instructions to stop using that authorization. Do not sign out of the entire Apple Account. Acknowledging the notice only dismisses the local reminder; it does not act on Apple or prove successful revocation.
